This is a question I get asked quite frequently and the short answer is - it depends.
Everyone's skin is different. Having one facial is not going to fix your skin. Just like if you want to get fit you need to consistently exercise and eat healthily, the same is true with skincare.
Regular facials AND being consistent with your recommended home care products are what makes the difference.
A number of factors can influence how often you should be getting a facial. These include your individual skin care goals (what it is you are hoping to achieve), your skin conditions (for example is your skin acne prone or sensitive) and what type of treatment you are having (is it a regular facial or a more intense treatment like a peel).
In general, I recommend getting a facial once a month. However, if you have skin that is clogged with blackheads or acne breakouts, then a facial every 2 weeks will help to speed up the clearing process.
Some skin treatments such as LED provide the best results when done in a series so it is always best to talk to your skin therapist who can advise the best treatment plan for your needs and goals.
